An assistant that answers the routine questions, books the job or triages the ticket, then hands anything awkward to a human. Built for your business, then looked after.£800 to £3,000/month

A managed AI agent is an assistant, built for your business, that handles the routine end of customer and internal conversations, then hands anything awkward to a person. It answers the questions you get asked a hundred times a week, books a job into your diary, triages a support ticket to the right place, or captures an enquiry out of hours, all in your business's own words rather than generic web waffle, because it is trained on your services, prices and process.
The important word is managed. Anyone can bolt a generic chatbot onto a website, and most are dreadful, because they were never taught your business and nobody looks after them. We build the agent on your actual information, wire in a clear escalation to a human from the very start, and then keep watching what it gets wrong and retraining it. That last part, the ongoing care, is exactly the bit most people skip and exactly why most bots are bad.
It is deliberately not trying to replace your team. The design principle is that it takes the repetitive, answerable enquiries so your people keep the ones that need judgement, warmth or a decision. The failure mode of a bad bot is a stuck loop that loses you a customer, so escalation to a real person is built in as a feature, not an afterthought, and the agent knows what it does not know.

Some of these are fine to paste into a free AI tool, some should never be. Which is which?

A scripted demonstration. A simple rule of thumb: if it names a real person, or unlocks something, keep it out of a public AI tool.
The first benefit is that you stop losing enquiries to timing. A huge share of business is lost simply because nobody answered quickly enough, or the question came in at nine at night when everyone had gone home. An agent answers instantly, at any hour, so the enquiry that would have gone cold or gone to a competitor becomes a captured lead or a booked job while you sleep. Code reaches the customer at the moment a person cannot.
The second is that it frees your team from the repetitive end of the day. A large chunk of most inboxes and phone lines is the same handful of questions asked over and over, and every one answered by the agent is time your people get back for the work that actually needs a human. You are not cutting the team, you are pointing them at the conversations that are worth their attention.
And unlike a person, it scales instantly and consistently. A sudden rush of enquiries after a campaign or a busy season does not mean scrambling for cover or dropping calls; the agent handles ten conversations as easily as one, in the same steady, on-brand way every time. For a business with peaks, that is the difference between growth being a strain and growth being absorbed quietly.

Illustrative cases. Tap one to see what happened and what could have been done.
The case
A holiday-let management company was losing bookings because enquiries came in through the evening and weekend, and by the time someone replied on Monday the guest had already booked elsewhere. The demand was there; the timing was killing it.
What could have been done
An agent trained on their properties and availability answers instantly, day or night, captures the details and books viewings, so enquiries that used to arrive dead on Monday morning are handled the moment they land.
The case
A trade supplier's small office team spent much of the day answering the same questions about stock, opening hours, delivery and account setup, leaving no time for the complex orders that actually needed a person.
What could have been done
An agent trained on their catalogue and process handles that routine tier and passes anything unusual straight to a named person, freeing the team to spend its day on the work only a human can do.
