A slow, frozen or misbehaving PC or Mac sorted over a secure remote session, usually within the hour. You watch the whole thing and end it whenever you like.£75 to £120/hour

Remote computer support is a real technician fixing a slow, frozen or misbehaving PC or Mac over a secure remote session, usually within the hour, without anyone having to come to you or you having to unplug the machine and cart it to a shop. You watch the whole thing happen on your own screen, and you can end the session whenever you like. For most everyday computer problems, having someone physically in the room adds nothing but delay.
The way it works is straightforward and safe. You click a link that starts a one-off secure session, the technician sees your screen and, with your permission, takes control to work on the problem while you watch. Nothing is installed permanently, the connection ends when the job does, and you are in charge throughout. It is the same as someone sitting at your desk, except it happens in minutes rather than after a half-day wait for a visit.
It suits the ordinary problems that stop you working: a machine that has slowed to a crawl, a program that will not open, updates that will not install, a setting that has gone wrong, a file that has vanished. We charge a clear hourly rate agreed before we start, with a one hour minimum, so there is no meter anxiety and no surprise, and you can have one-off help or a small monthly cover plan, whichever fits how often things actually go wrong.
See it work
Run a health check and see the kind of problems we catch and fix remotely.
A scripted demonstration on sample kit. On yours we run a real remote check and send you the plain-English findings before touching anything.
The first benefit is simply speed. A problem that would mean booking a visit and waiting half a day, or worse, packing the machine off to a shop for a week, gets sorted in the next hour instead, while you carry on with the rest of your day. For anyone whose work stops when the computer stops, that difference between waiting days and waiting minutes is the whole point.
The second is that it costs less and wastes less of your time. There is no call-out fee, no travel to pay for, and no dead afternoon spent waiting in for someone. You describe the problem, we fix it while you get on with something else, and you pay only for the time it actually took. For a small business or a home worker, cutting out the visit is a real saving on every single fix.
The third is control and reassurance, which matters more than people expect when it comes to letting someone onto your computer. You see everything the technician does, on your own screen, and you can stop the session at any moment. Nothing lurks behind afterwards. For anyone nervous about remote help, that visibility is exactly what makes it comfortable, and it is why most people, once they have used it, never want to lug a machine to a shop again.

Illustrative cases. Tap one to see what happened and what could have been done.
The case
A self-employed designer's Mac slowed to the point where every task took minutes and a deadline was slipping, with a next-day visit the only obvious option.
What could have been done
A remote session started within the hour clears out what is choking it, sorts the stalled updates, and has the machine running properly again before lunch, for the one-hour minimum, saving a day she could not afford to lose.
The case
A small office had a PC stuck on a failed update that left it unusable, and the staff had spent an afternoon fighting it.
What could have been done
Connecting remotely to clear the stuck update, fix the underlying cause so it will not recur, and check the rest of the machine, takes under an hour with nobody travelling, and the person watching learns enough to handle the simple bit next time.
Tell us what is going wrong and we will come back with a fixed price in writing, after a short scoping call. No obligation, and no jargon.
£75 to £120/hour. We agree the exact number before any work starts, so there are no open ended day rates.
Most work of this kind is live within three to four weeks. We give you a date before we begin and tell you early if anything threatens it.
Yes. We are based in Edinburgh and work on site across the Lothians, Fife and Glasgow, and remotely across the United Kingdom.
Same service, same prices, wherever you are. On site across central Scotland and remotely across the rest of the UK.
Pop ups, ransom messages, a browser that has been hijacked or a machine that is suddenly crawling. Cleaned out, checked, and hardened so it does not come straight back.
The single most common thing that quietly wastes an afternoon. Printers, scanners and drivers set up and talking to every device that needs them.
Drop outs, dead spots and a connection that is fine everywhere except where you actually work. Diagnosed and sorted, with honest advice on what hardware is worth it.
Email that has stopped sending or receiving, will not set up on a new phone, or has been the same password since 2015. Fixed and secured across every device.
Windows updates that will not install, an Office licence that has lapsed, or a 365 account nobody can get into. The Microsoft tangle untangled by someone who does it daily.
Stop missing calls. Stop quoting at midnight.
