Move phone systems and port numbers between providers without a day of missed calls. The bit most suppliers get wrong.£1,000 to £2,000

Telephony migration is moving your phone system and porting your numbers from one provider to another without a day of missed calls. Porting is the technical act of taking a phone number you own and moving it to a new network, and it is the part most suppliers get wrong, because a number is not just a setting to flip. There is a regulated handover between the old and new networks, and if it is timed or prepared badly, calls to your main number can simply stop for a stretch.
The reason that matters so much is that for most businesses the main phone number is sacred. It is on the vans, the website, the letterhead, in every customer's phone and years of directories, and every call to it is potentially a job. A migration that drops calls for even a few hours during that window is not a technical hiccup, it is money walking straight to a competitor while your phone sits silent, and the customer never knowing why they could not get through.
So we prepare everything on the new platform before the number ever moves. The call routing, the hunt groups, the menus, the out-of-hours handling and the recording are all rebuilt and tested first, so the new system is ready and waiting, and the port itself is scheduled and managed tightly around the regulated handover. When the number arrives it lands on a system that already works exactly as it should, rather than on a half-built one being finished in a panic.
See it work
Watch the whole lot move across to something better, without the office stopping.
A scripted demonstration. Real migrations are planned, tested on a copy first, and cut over out of hours so your team keeps working.
The first benefit is that you can change provider or upgrade your phone system without the thing that stops most people: the fear of losing calls on your main number. That fear keeps businesses tied to telephony they have outgrown or overpay for. Doing the port properly removes it, so you can move to a better or cheaper system and keep the number every customer already knows.
The second is that not a single call goes missing in the move, which with phones is the whole game. Because the new platform is built and tested before the number ports and the handover is managed tightly, there is no window where your main line is dead. The customer ringing during the switch gets through exactly as always and never knows anything happened, which is the only acceptable outcome for the number your business runs on.
And you often come out of it on a far better system for less, having kept everything that mattered. The move is usually motivated by cost, features or reliability, and rebuilding the routing, menus and out-of-hours handling properly on the new platform means you keep or improve how calls are handled while gaining whatever drove the change. The upgrade is real; the disruption everyone feared simply does not happen.

Illustrative cases. Tap one to see what happened and what could have been done.
The case
A trades company with a fleet of signwritten vans was terrified to leave a provider they were overpaying, because their main number, printed on every van and known to every customer, felt too risky to move.
What could have been done
Rebuilding the call handling on the new platform, testing it, and managing the port tightly around the handover moves the number without a single missed call, leaves the vans untouched, and lands them on a better system at a lower cost.
The case
A firm had a cheap provider port their main number badly and leave them with calls failing intermittently for the better part of a day, during which they had no idea how much work they had lost.
What could have been done
A properly built platform with everything prepared in advance, and a clean, tightly managed port, moves the number between networks with no gap at all. The contrast is the whole argument for doing it properly.
