What cloud migration actually means
Cloud migration is moving your systems from hardware you own to a cloud platform like AWS or Azure, or a leaner alternative where that fits better. Where server migration is often lifting a machine as it is, cloud migration is usually the moment to do it properly: to rebuild things to work the way the cloud works, size them to what you actually use, and set up the security, backups and recovery as part of the move rather than as an afterthought bolted on later.
The trap everyone has heard about is the bill that quietly triples.
